Why God Desires You to Be Both Rich & Righteous

ree

If you’re like me, I bet you’ve wrestled with how to balance your faith and your desire for financial success. Society often paints wealth as something to be avoided or even looked down upon if you’re a woman of faith. But honestly, I don’t believe that’s what God has in mind for us.

I’ve come to see that God's greatest desire is for us to live in abundance—spiritually, emotionally, and yes, financially. As 3 John 1:2 says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

When I started viewing wealth through His eyes, everything changed. I realized that money, when stewarded wisely and rooted in righteousness, can be a divine tool to fulfill our purpose and make a lasting impact.

Overcoming Money Guilt & Embracing Divine Purpose

One of the biggest hurdles I see women face is guilt around pursuing wealth. Society and personal stories can make us feel selfish or wrong for wanting more. But I’ve learned that it’s all about knowing your own bankroll zip code—which is a way I talk about defining where your money and mindset are centered. I dig into this deeper in my God Wants You To Be Wealthy series on the MeaningFULL Work Podcast.

The goal is to get clear about your view on money and to shift it from something negative to a tool for good—a way to impact the world and honor God's kingdom here on earth.

When you understand that God is your ultimate source—while money is simply a resource—you can pursue financial success without guilt. When aligned with your purpose, building wealth becomes an act of worship and obedience.

Practical Biblical Strategies for Wealth

Building wealth through faith isn’t about luck; it’s about having a plan with spiritual discernment. Here are three principles I live by:

  1. Align Your Goals with God’s Vision: Pursue wealth that advances His Kingdom.

  2. Practice Stewardship and Generosity: Manage what you have wisely and give cheerfully.

  3. Cultivate a Wealth-Conscious Mindset: Remove limiting beliefs and embrace abundance as your divine inheritance.

Draw on these principles, and you’ll create a solid, faith-filled foundation for financial success.

The Power of Rich & Righteous Positioning: The "Four Quarters" Strategy

To truly step into the fullness of being both rich and righteous, I use a powerful approach I call the “four quarters” basketball strategy. It helps you assess where you are currently, set faith-based goals, and take intentional steps toward aligning your spiritual and financial elevation. I share this in detail in my God Wants You To Be Wealthy series.

This positioning is about making sure your mindset, goals, and actions are all in sync with God's timing and purpose for your life.

Turning Wealth Into Impact

True wealth isn’t just about money in the bank; it’s about the influence you have and the impact you make. Your financial blessings are tools to serve others, uplift communities, and further God’s kingdom. Purpose-driven wealth creates a legacy that embodies righteousness, compassion, and righteousness.

Are you ready to align your financial pursuits with your divine purpose? The God Wants You To Be Wealthy series is here to help you see that wealth is a divine gift—one that you’re called to steward wisely.
